Hello there! We've come back from the tour with everyone still alive...Now's the time to thank everyone involved: First of all HUGE cheers to Countervela. We can't remember when we've had as much fun as we did have during last week. You guys are brilliant people and by far the best band we've ever toured with!! It was excellent to see you play every night! We dig your songs totally!! Thanks to our crew; Komu, Viola and Tuija for good company and helping us out. Thanks to Kare for letting us to stay in your flat in Oulu, to Sicknote for helping us out with Park 57 gig. Thanks to people in venues we played. Cheers to everyone who came to our shows. 12.11.2008 Farewell on tour
Farewell will go on tour again. We start our "autumn tour 2008" with Irish/Uk-based Countervela at 12.11. from Kuopio, Henry's pub. Farewell's showtime is at ten o'clock at evening, so make sure to check us and 'Vela lads out!! We're really eager to go promoting our forthcoming single "Receive". Vote for Farewell in Radio Rock's demoskaba 2008 competition!! Our track On One Card is online in Radio Rock's band competition. Winner of the competition will perform as an opening act on Slayer's Finnish gigs!! Not bad!! So, Vote now!!!
28.9.2008 Recordings complete!!
Farewell has finally completed the recordings of our new single. It took us a bit longer than we presumed, but on the other hand, it was wise not to push it. This time we got things done better than ever.
Original sound is already kicking arse! After mixing it should be sheer murder! We'll post new songs to MySpace as soon as they're done. Keep checking out our sites for news!
30.7.2008 News update
Hi, you all! Farewell have currently tangled theirselves deep in the studio territory. Single is coming up nicely and we hope to finish within weeks. We will be out for fresh air in Karhu Open Air metal party with Dominant Chain, Neverheard and Excalion. So if you know the K.O.A. drill, get yourself there to catch grand premiere of new single tracks!
We've also got to thank Antti Heikkinen for helping us out at Kotiteollisuus case. He put out a hell of a show and a single man mosh mayhem. In otherwords - he ruled!! Thanks, man! You rock!!

1.7.2008 Gretchen goes to Nebraska, but Esmi goes to Norway...
Hi punks! Farewell will be supporting one of Finlands leading metalmonsters Kotiteollisuus this thursday! We're on our way to rehearse for the show right after this statement is written. Our Esa-Mikko will be unfortunately missing from the show. He had to fill some personal commitments in Norway, but fear not - Farewell train will keep-a-rolling!
Esmi's replacement for the show will be Antti Heikkinen of VIHA (Ex-Fall Of Man)! He has actually been onstage with Farewell before and is a long term friend of the band. So it's sorted then. He's one of the best guitarists and live performers we've ever witnessed so excpect nothing less than a killer show!!
Says the man himself: "Get ready for some beer drinkers and hellraisers! We take no prisoners and slaves shall fuckin serve!!!!" (revi nyt siitä. toim.huom. :)

We've got about 80% of Heiki's rhythm guitars done and Toni will be in studio soon to Finish his performance on a new single. 2.6.2008 To studio - Finally
Recordings of new Farewell single will begin at 14th of june. Finally! It has taken a long time to finish the pre-recording phase, but it has been worth it! All c´kinds of cool shit is coming together anyway now... so sit tight, we'll let you know when things start to be sorted!!
Oh, btw.Heiki sended in finally his crew-sheet, so that section is now completely updated!

Good day sirs and madams!
Chaospatrol collectively known as Farewell is still in pre-production. After receiving e-mails of what's going on I decided to sh(r)ed some light on situation.
We're still working with our three new promotracks. We're taking all the time that's necessary to get them right. Our pestilence with previous recordings has been a tight schedule and rush to get everything done in deadline. Now it's finally time to do things right!
So far Farewell has concentrated on arrangements in totally new level. Stuff is much more "pro" this time. Even a odd meshuggah-moment is hidden there somewhere.
Bare with us! I most certainly let you know what's going on in F-well camp.

6.2.2008 | Bandcamp outcome
Hi! We're back!
After several days spent in Farewell-dimension we return with 3 songs worked out for our new release. Songs are titled "Receive", "Giving Up The Ghost" and "There I Dwell".
We're heading for studio within a month.

Allright...They're now online. All lyrics for our two albums can be found here in f-well.com! After receiving a number of e-mails about them, we've decided to put them here. So, put your cd's on and check 'em out! (And it's not our fault if you scream them in top of your lungs and your neighbours get upset) One...set...GO!!
18.1.2008 | New Single On The Way!!
Farewell will start pre-production of our new single in 1.2.2008. It looks like to feature 2-3 songs and it's to be recorded later in this spring in Roundhouse Kick Studios Iisalmi. It will be produced, and engineered by mr.Samu Männikkö.
This release will be Farewell's opener for a new decade so we'll give our best to get best start possible for Farewell-chapter 2.
Musicalwise single will be a little more melodic than our previus album. We've played our early demos to our friends and feedback has been positive, almost surprising. Most interesting point is that new riffs have been referred to many different kind of bands, such as Annihilator, Sentenced, In Flames or Iced Earth and even to Opeth. Let's see how it'll turn out.
We'll let you know when we have decided which tracks we've chosen for our single. Stay tuned!

27.11.2007 | New songs and side projects...
Greetings everyone! It's time to break the silence. There hasn't been too much to report lately. We've been writing new material for 2008 and we've come up with a couple of interesting demotapes so far. We'll start transforming them into f-well music early next year. We're definitely widening our horizons this time!
The video footage from our 10-year aniv.show is being edited as we speak. There'll be a couple of outtakes in myspace somewhere around x-mas (maybe).
Otherwise we've been having a wee bit of a break since 2007 dates. We've finally had some time to work with other projects as well. Toni has been working with his DominantChain (progressive melodic metal) and Markus can be seen in a forthcoming Anti-Teatteri film "Työttömän Päiväkirja"(diaries of an unemployed in english). There has also been a rumor around that the most legendary punk band ever, Löyhäpäiset Itsesaastuttajat, might be on a warpath again... Have mercy....
But here's something for you to chew on. We'll keep you posted as action occurs! Cheers

12.09.2007 | TEN YEARS!! WHO'D HAVE BELIEVED...
Farewell will celebrate their ten year-career with a special show 15.9.2007 in Kyllikinranta Iisalmi. Stage time is around 23.00 and support act will be Never Heard. We're hoping to see a lot of friends from past 10 years there. Farewell will be playing a full length aniversary set consisting on old and new tracks. Later in the evening we're about to play a set vol.2 with some cover tracks and surprises.
...oh, by the way..there will be some cameras present for a DVD release!
